The question of who will play the new Bond girl may have been answered. Twitchfilm.com has broken the news that the French beauty Berenice Marlohe has been tapped to take the coveted, starring opposite Daniel Craig in next "Bond 23" . French actress Berenice Marlohe is aiming to make the transition from television to the big screen. She is currently shooting a film directed by James Huth, called "Un Bonheur N'arrive Jamais Seul", such as in reports Aceshowbiz
Before Marlohe, it is rumored that the Brazilian model Ana Araujo close to securing part. Early September, boyfriend rocker Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones reportedly were competing with Naomie Harris for the coveted role.
After delayed for some time, the production finally getting ready to start shooting later this year on Bond 23, the new Bond film directed by Sam Mendes of the script by John Logan, Neal Purvis & Robert Wade. During the Bond site MI6, they have confirmed that Bond 23 will at least shoot in Istanbul, Turkey.
While Craig seems to have found his lady on the screen for the latest 007 film, director Sam Mendes is rumored to be shooting the opening scene in Turkey. MI6 HQ, with that producer Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli has met the Turkish government to sign an agreement to shoot a scene in Istanbul.
"The opening scene is planned to be filmed in Istanbul, but few other places will also be used outside Istanbul for the film," said Ertugrul Gunay, Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister. Sites that will be used for the production including Sultanahmet Square, the historical environment in the city. "There is, however, a number of locations, including waterside and shore of the Bosporus, in consideration for 10-15 minutes of film to be filmed in Turkey," the Minister added.
The next Bond film will be a third person who was shot in Istanbul after "From Russia with Love" and "The World Is Not Enough". "James Bond is no stranger to Istanbul, and as the series marks 50th anniversary next year, it is fitting that the 007th will return to one of the locations of the most beloved franchises in history," Wilson said. "It really just feels like our home."
Marlohe completely unknown in the U.S., but if he is suitable for this role, I have nothing against it, especially with Mendes running the show this time. Bond 23, which is scheduled for next release 9 November 2012.
