Nicole Trunfio was born 16 March 1986 in Dubbo, New South Wales. Trunfio is the youngest girl in a family of four children. Her father, an Italian from Reggio Calabria, Italy worked as a mechanic and musician while her mother worked as a hairdresser.
Trunfio got her break into modeling by winning the Perth City Face competition and getting signed to Viviens Model Management. She then went on to win the Australian “Search for a Supermodel” contest, which took her to New York City where she placed second in the “Ford Supermodel of the World” competition earning her a contract with Ford NY. Trunfio moved to Sydney where she shot her first story for Australian Vogue and opened the Gucci runway show before settling into New York City.
Trunfio has modeled for various international designers. Trunfio has worked with many big fashion photographers such as Patrick Demarchilier, Steven Klein, Peter Lindberg, and Terry Richardson among others and appeared in fashion publications including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, and GQ.
Trunfio’s most recent venture is as the sole founder and owner of fine jewelry line Eight and a Half Jewelry which she launched in September 2011.
According to the latest news Nicole Trunfio has been hooked up with the “Machine Gun Preacher” actor, Gerard Butler in New York on Wednesday (09.14.11).
They met Wednesday amid the "blooddrenched chaos" (someone fell down a flight of stairs onto broken glass) at the Top of the Standard on Wednesday night.
Gerard Butler was seen kissing the beauty the fashion magazine V party in front of audiences including Lindsay Lohan, Courtney Love, Carine Roitfeld and French Vogue.
A source told the New York Post: “As soon as the two met, they were inseparable, they were kissing in a corner They went together, but the game was in separate cars …”
The Scottish actor – who has had to rely on extra security after receiving death threats on his latest film – has already been linked with Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel and Ashley Green.
