Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert II Are Married

The Ruling monarchy Monaco, Prince Albert II, 53, married his fiancee, Charlene Wittstock, 33, in a civil ceremony performed in the Throne Room of the Princely Palace, Friday (1 / 7). And the religious wedding ceremony  held on Saturday (2 / 7), the Associated Press reported.

Two days before the wedding, rumors that Wittstock disappointed in Prince Albert II, is associated with the story of the prince's past. The newspaper 'Le Parisien' had reported that Wittstock attempted to flee back to his country, but he was intercepted French police at Nice Airport, when going on a plane to South Africa.

The news was denied by Prince Albert II who has two children out of wedlock, Namely Jasmin, 19, daughter of Albert with the United States real estate agent, Tamara Rotolo, and Alexandre, 6, son of a Togolese former Air France flight attendant, Nicole Coste.

Albert attended the wedding several heads of state and royal princes and princesses. The audience who witnessed the marriage Albert-Wittstock, Saturday (2 / 7), among others, former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and bohemian designer Roberto Cavalli, of Italy. Wittstock is a former South African swimming team in 2000 Olympics, and gained the title and style of Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco, the last to hold the title was the Prince's mother, Grace Kelly. Media describes Wittstock as a combination of Grace Kelly, Princess Diana and Kate Middleton. She is charming as Grace Kelly, mother-in-law. Social nature such as Princess Diana and simple like Kate Middleton.

Wittstock was born born 25 January 1978  in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Africa to Michael Kenneth Wittstock , a sales manager, and Lynette Humberstone, a former competitive diver and swimming coach. The Wittstock family is of German origin. Charlene has two younger brothers: Gareth Wittstock (born 1980), a computer technician, and Sean Wittstock (born 1983), a sales representative. Her family relocated to South Africa in 1989 when she was 12 years old.

Wittstock known as South African competitive swimmer. She has won several national titles over the years. Previously she had been out of competitive swimming for 18 months with a shoulder injury. She retired from competitive swimming in 2007.

Wittstock met Albert II, Prince of Monaco, in 2000 at the Mare Nostrum swimming meet in Monaco. On 23 June 2010, the couple became officially engaged

The wedding was originally scheduled for 8 and 9 July 2011 but was moved forward to prevent a conflict with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting in Durban on 5–9 July. The couple had invited members of the IOC, including president Jacques Rogge, to their wedding. The couple plan to attend the IOC meeting; hence Wittstock's first foreign visit as Princess will be to her childhood home, South Africa.
