The 2011 Miss USA Pageant successfully held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on Sunday night, June 19. In the event, Alyssa Campanella, Miss California was elected as the new Miss USA outshone 50 other women and will represent the United States at this year's Miss Universe in Sao Paolo, Brazil on September 12.
As reported by Aceshowbiz, Monday, June 20, Alyssa, who represents California's managed to beat 50 other contestants. That night, incumbent Miss USA is reaping a lot of controversy, Rima Fakih who was the first Arab-American and the first Muslim to hold the title, pinning the crown of the head of the new Miss USA, Alyssa Campanella.
21-year-old Alyssa who successfully made the judges impressed by her performance with her strut in a blue bikini with white polka dots and in a dark turquoise evening gown. And with her coherent answer when asked about legalizing marijuana during the final Question & Answer phase. She smartly replied, "I understand that medical marijuana is very important for those who need it legally. It's abused, but that's the only reason I'd be against it. I'm not sure legalizing it would have much of an effect on the drug war."

Meanwhile, star of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey', Caroline Manzo, rapper Lil Jon and basketball player Tyson Chandler go to the Judges. In that event so elected the third runner-up went to Miss Texas Ana Rodriguez, while Miss Alabama Madeline Mitchell was named the second runner-up.
