Cheryl Cole, Ex WAG's Ashley Cole

Cheryl Ann Cole (née Tweedy)  was born 30 June 1983  and raised in the northern England city of Newcastle upon Tyne. She is a amazing member of Girls Aloud to, well, an even more amazing member of Girls Aloud and everyone's favorite judge on everyone's favorite Saturday night treat, The X Factor.  She is the fourth of five children of Joan Callaghan, and the eldest child of Gary Tweedy. Cole's parents never married each other; they separated when she was 11.

Starting out as a young aspiring dancer, Cheryl joined the Royal Ballet summer school aged nine, as well as appearing in a number of TV commercials.  Being the pretty little lady that she is, Cheryl won a number of modeling competitions ? from the bonniest baby competition to the hilariously named Little Miss and Mister competition in the local paper.
Cheryl auditioned for reality TV show 'Popstars: The Rivals' way back (actually, it's not that long but it feels like forever ago) in 2002. She sang in front of judges Geri Halliwell, Pete Waterman and, Louis Walsh.

In January 2003 Cheryl Tweedy caused a tabloid sensation when she was involved in an altercation with nightclub attendant Sophie Amogbokpa. The incident went to trial and she was convicted of assault occasioning bodily harm. Cheryl Tweedy was sentenced to 120 hours community service plus a compensation to her victim and court fees.

In 2004 Cheryl Tweedy began dating English football star Ashley Cole. They were engaged in June 2005 in Dubai and married in July 2006.  The couple were married at a ceremony at Barnet, North West London. Later tabloid stories indicated infidelity issues in the relationship, but they have reportedly since reconciled. but the pair, being pretty and famous and all of those other annoying things, haven't really been out of the papers since. Especially when it was reported that Ashley had slept with some hairdresser or something. Is he mad? The pair are still together though.

June 10, 2008 Cheryl Cole was announced as the replacement judge on the phenomenally successful British TV talent show X Factor. She replaced Sharon Osbourne. As mentor on the show, Cheryl Cole was given the girls group to guide and ultimately one of her competitors, Alexandra Burke, won the competition. She returned in 2009 and is the mentor for the boys. Joe McElderry, one of the boys, has been cited as a favorite to win.

On 26 May 2010, Cole filed for divorce at London's High Court citing "unreasonable behaviour" of estranged husband Ashley as the reason for their break-up.

In July 2010, Cole was admitted to hospital with suspected acute malaria. This was shortly after a visit to Tanzania, where it is believed she may have contracted the disease. Cheryl was forced to pull out of the X Factor auditioning process, but will return to our screens for the live shows.
